Why I love quotes?

Have you ever recognized the wisdoms behind each quotes? We did. We do. Always. Neither the quotes of Business Management Hungary were not random choices. Guess why…

quotes

“An expert is a person who has made all the mistakes that can be made in a very narrow field.”
(Niels Bohr)

Isn’t it amazing? Just think over what this sentences sais. Think over all the wiseness, all the disappointments, all the “A-haa” moments and all the “Damn-it” moments behind this one simple sentence what was made by a quite well known scientist what just gives an extra authenticity of it.

This quote was not a random choice to the main page of Business Management Hungary (businessmanagementhungary.com) neither.

But why people use a lot of quotes? Why we use them in pretty much situations? I have read dozens of answers for this question, I collected some what I also agree. Let me quote them:

“Because they precisely and definitively express what we know, recognize, feel, believe, think, accept, imagine, hope, fear, desire, acknowledge, and/or have experienced as a life truth.”

(Alema Pequoia)

“People use these quotes to show their current life happening… You can never be motivated 365 days an year… Sometimes you are sad, crying, fallen down in love… So they (or I should use we) use such silly quotes to express our current feeling through these quotes.”

(yours_akshit)

“Quotes condense lifetimes of learning into bite-sized sentences. By themselves, they’re nothing. But add their backdrop, and they’re reminders for what you can’t remember.”

This is the general point of view but let’s take a look on the professional side. I have read an article with five quotes from Marc Cuban. Investor. Businessman. NBA team owner. And some more.
I must to tell the truth that his name was not known by me till today but I will remember it. His five quotes are … just … PRETTY TRUE. Here they are.

1. “Work like there is someone working 24 hours a day to take it away from you.”

2. “It’s not in the dreaming, it’s in the doing.”

3. “Doesn’t matter if the glass is half-empty or half-full. All that matters is that you are the one pouring the water.”

4. “Wherever I see people doing something the way it’s always been done, the way it’s ‘supposed’ to be done, following the same old trends, well, that’s just a big red flag to me to go look somewhere else.”

5. “Every no gets me closer to a yes.”

Is there anyone who can argue? Are all of you agree? Any comments? Now I understand why I liked so much Britney Spears’ track settled in this topic…

Well, we have talked about general opinions and professional quotes but there are still plenty of life situations where quotes might help. Love, responsibility, stress, or to be little bit more detailed when you need just a little kick into your ass to get some motivation to go to the gym. What’s more whatever is on the table I am 99% sure that a quote exists to that. Or at last, I wouldn’t be surprised. After all:

“The wisdom of the wise, and the experience of ages, may be preserved by quotation.”

(Benjamin Disraeli)
